What are the Rhythms of Discipleship?

Simply put, the Rhythms of Discipleship are (some of) the regular habits of a follower of Jesus at Red Hill Church: Worship, Gospel Communities, Gospel Practices, and Mission. In the pages that follow you’ll be able to learn about our Vision Frame (how we talk with clarity about our mission, values, strategy for making disciples, and the marks that identify a healthy, growing follower of Jesus) and the rhythms of worship, Gospel Communities, Gospel Practices, and Mission. None of this information is meant to be comprehensive or exhaustive; it’s just our way of putting handles on what sometimes feels big and complex. Basically, we want to help you follow Jesus and grow in intimacy with Him.

To follow Jesus implies that we enter into a way of life that is given character and shape and direction by the one who calls us”
— Eugene Peterson, The Jesus Way

The aim of all discipleship is to be conformed into the image of Jesus. These rhythms are meant to help position followers of Jesus to increase their love for and intimacy with Jesus. Ultimately spiritual growth is a work of the Holy Spirit, but we know and believe that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
