10:2 - Let's GOOOOOO!!!
“We must do the works of Him who sent Me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work.”
John 9:4
Urgency. It means insistent solicitation and entreaty. I went skydiving once. I was strapped to an experienced skydiver, and I had no control over when or even IF the parachute would open. When we hit 10,000 feet above the ground, the instructor told me to put my foot on the small exterior platform that was about 18 inches from the door of the plane. As soon as my foot hit the platform he launched us out of the plane, and we began to fly! I have never had an adrenaline rush quite like the feeling of free falling to the earth at 9.806 meters per second. Somewhere along the way down I had a fleeting thought: If this parachute doesn’t open, then this is going to be an even more exciting free fall!
My foot hit the platform, and then my body went full send into the sky. The only hope I had was in the parachute and the one who could open it.
This is the moment when we put our feet on the platforms. The door of the plane has opened, and the time for debate has passed. Either we’re going to take the plunge, or we’re going to cower in fear. Don’t wait another minute. Start your 10:2 Project today. Pray. Invite someone to a worship gathering. Share your faith story.
Hebrews 10:39 says, “But we are not those who draw back and are destroyed, but those who have faith and are saved.”
That’s who we are, church. We are the people of faith. Once upon a time we were not a people, but God has made us HIS people! We are not alone in the work. He is with us, and we are with one another. The harvest is abundant and waiting for us! The 10:2 Project is officially rolling! Put your faith in the One who will do the hard work. All you have to do is take one step. Put your feet where you want your faith to be. Open your mouth and speak the words out loud: “Will I see you at Red Hill this Sunday?” “Have I ever told you about how I came to know, love, and follow Jesus?” “Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me. Could we grab lunch or something sometime, because I’d love to tell you what happened.”
What are we waiting for? We’ve hit the right altitude, and the moment of movement is here.
Let's GOOOOOO!!!
Going with you,
Pastor Rayden
